About

Welcome to Dronfield and our beautiful North Derbyshire countryside.

The Town of Dronfield comprises Dronfield, Dronfield Woodhouse and Coal Aston. It is completely encircled by countryside and is situated in the eastern foothills of the Pennines. It is only three miles distant from The Peak District National Park.

The route of the 14.5 miles Rotary Walk is clearly waymarked in both directions. Walkers may feel challenged to complete the full walk which is relatively strenuous, having ascents totalling 1,500 feet (500 Metres). Alternatively, shorter sections, perhaps linking up with the 26 footpaths which are shown on the illustrated map, can be selected.

We hope you can find the time to enjoy a great day out on this wonderful walk.

Our Grand Launch Day was Saturday, July 1st 2018
The Grand Launch Day of the Dronfield 2000 Rotary Walk was Saturday, July 1st 2000 when over 500 people came and join in the party. Many walkers completed the 14 mile circuit. The weather was not kind with our delightful North Derbyshire landscape being lost in the mist for most of the day.
